The last three and a half months have been a whirlwind for our family and I thought I should take a minute and catch everyone up to speed on our move to Keizer. Several things have slowly, but methodically come together since January and we are very thankful to God and his people for their faithfulness to us in this transition. Let me summarize.

First, Emma and I moved to Keizer in January which was made possible by the Earnharts providing our room and board and the Williamsons welcoming Emma into homeschool. Emma is less than thrilled about having her Dad as a roommate, but has really enjoyed the Williamson Academy. Thank you Rex and Marion, Melody and the girls!IMG_2604

As many of you know I work part time for UPS loading delivery trucks, early in the morning, Monday through Friday. This position provides our family’s health insurance as well as some income. As part of our move I transferred my position from the Boise facility to Salem. It took several weeks to complete, but I now have a permanent spot on the early sort and have been working everyday for the last month.

We intend to keep our house in Boise and rent it out, which of course means we have to finish several projects much sooner than we originally planned. I have been back to Boise three times to work on these, and will be making one more trip at the end of May. We are nearing completion, thankfully!

We owned a smaller house in Boise which we used as a rental property. We sold it in March and used the proceeds from that sale to purchase a home here in Salem. We are on schedule to close on our new residence here in town on June 5th just a couple of days after Maria finishes up her sophomore year.

Meanwhile in Boise, Evelyn has been parenting Maria, finishing the semester of tutoring Boise State students in math, repainting the interior of our house and she has started packing up our things.

The first week of June, Evelyn and Maria will travel to Keizer and we will close on our new-to-us home. Then Maria will stay here with me so she can begin to establish herself here in Oregon. Emma will return to Boise with Evelyn and help finish up the preparations of our house, and final packing for our move. Maria and I will return to Boise at the end of June. We will share our last Sunday with the Grace church of Christ on June 28th and the whole family, including both cats and two rats will finish the move to Keizer on Monday, June 29th! Then we will settle in for a Busy summer!

We are happy to be here, and to be on the way here. We really appreciate your warm reception, patient support and persistent prayers. God has provided all we need and more, as he always does. We are looking forward to working together for his good pleasure in the days to come. Love you all, Hojo
