“The Art of Christian Freedom”

Jesus’ followers can pursue our freedom in Christ and resist religious legalism without sacrificing biblical integrity. The teachings of Jesus and Paul are foundational for this pursuit. Christian art is another resource for seeing the gospel as more of a redemptive story than a rigid set of rules and regulations.

Joel Solliday currently serves as the interim preaching minister at the Pomeroy Christian Church in Washington state. He studied art and Bible at Pepperdine University and received an M. Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary. Joel recently retired after serving with the Lewiston Church of Christ for the last 12 years. Whether in ministry or between ministries, Joel has long found creative ways to integrate faith and the arts. His wife, Mary Ellen, hails from Texas. She is active in a quilting ministry that calls for a generous amount of time and creative energy.

After the morning session pizza will be provided in our fellowship hall.  The golf scramble is the unique feature of the Men’s Day event.  Please join us for some or all of the day!!
